there’s a schism coming in social media between companies using it for marketing, and companies using it for customer service and CRM. People coming from Google don’t know who you are yet, so you can’t treat them like a Facebook audience that’s already drinking your Kool-aid.

You can also set up various searches from Google, Twitter, etc and run the RSS feeds from each search through Yahoo Pipes and have the resulting feed delivered to your inbox or RSS reader to monitor ongoing. This research raises two interesting questions: - Forrester published research earlier this year that said Facebook users (rather than Twitter users) were the source of much of the New Influencer population. These are some great numbers, and by great I mean they actually tell a story, I'm sick of statistics for statistics sake.
