The lead management vendors are developing one-to-one email capabilities that help sales people be more consistent and productive. B2B marketers also need systems that help them align sales activity and marketing messages, monitor marketing’s impact on the pipeline, and close the loop on closed deals. They actually have their sales and marketing orgs aligned and working together. As long as sales is quarterly-driven, the need to ring this bell never ends.
