According to Wikipedia, ROI is “the ratio of money gained or lost (whether realized or unrealized) on an investment relative to the amount of money invested.” Even if our annual savings estimates are off by 50%, we’d still get nearly a 10-fold return on operating costs in year three. That’s an impressive result, but it isn’t a return.
