If you read our earlier post More Reasons to Outsource B2B Lead Generation , you saw the damning data from LeadershipIQ – lots of new hires fail and many more are so-so at best – and very few are stars. CSO Insights found that only 7% of companies said they “excelled at interviewing and hiring salespeople.). Breaks my heart, as I love these guys and their content is awesome, but I agree with David Berkowitz of 360i , who tweeted that Hubspot emails were too frequent. David and I both signed off from Hubspot. Content is fabulous, but nagging was getting to be too much. It interferes with life. Emails several times a day – even on the weekends – inviting me to their content, finally proved to be too much.The constant buzzing of my Blackberry was driving me and my family crazy. 'A West Coast marketing recruiter wrote this to me a few days ago: “ Typically my clients are looking for someone who has a successful recent track record as a full-time, permanent employee, preferably coming out of a direct competitor. ” I have to ask a simple question. Is this a good or bad idea? And how do you define successful? On one hand, hiring from a competitor means the person has some industry knowledge. Many undoubtedly think that makes for a safe choice.
