I recently caught up with Unica Vice President Andrew Hally as part of my review of developments at the major marketing automation vendors. It’s been a good year for Unica, which will break $100 million in annual revenue for the first time. The one major acquisition in 2007 was Marketing Central, which provides hosted marketing resource management.

This is kind of a chicken and egg question, but one that Ive found very true in the course of working with the people who actually use the software. They dont care what makes it happen, only that whatever "it" is, does. But for the sake of discussion, Ill stick to software. IT departments seem intent on keeping their mystique.
