MAY 13, 2013
There are a number of variations on Requests for Proposals (RFPs), namely: Request for quotations (RFQ) Request for qualifications (RFQ) Request for information (RFI) Request for tender (RFT) Where can I find RFPs? What is a RFP? The RFP process is meant to bring structure and transparency to the procurement decision, while reducing risk through open requirements and discussion."
[IT Best Practices] Finding the Right Marketing Solution
Modern B2B Marketing
JUNE 30, 2014
Once you have your list of preferred vendors, it’s RFI/RFP time! (Or Author: Johnny Cheng Back when I was in IT , my biggest fear was implementing a solution that no one liked – or worse, didn’t end up using. Being at a startup tech company, my IT budget was miniscule. I wouldn’t have worried about learning the solution or onboarding my users – crazy, I know…but everybody has to dream.
RFP Etiquette: Dos and Don’ts for Business Matchmaking
AUGUST 5, 2009
In this specific case I might have recommended that instead of releasing their RFP to the wild, that Zappos instead release a simple RFI (request for information) that asks for a maximum of two to five pages of information, mostly as a way to get profile information about firms, examples of their work, etc., The following interview/article was conducted by Vince Giorgi, Vince President of Hanley Wood Marketing for his blog, Touch Point City. As a result, most of them run the risk of falling through the cracks. At AG it's simply "the call plan".

JUNE 7, 2005
In "How to Find, Evaluate & Hire an Adertising Agency" from agencyfinder.com, it's argued that companies should use an RFI (request for information) rather than an RFP (request for proposal), which is largely a matter of semantics; the important point is to gather specific information from each agency on your "intermediate" list to help you narrow your list down to those agencies you want to invite for presentations. How do you select the best marketing agency for your needs? So, drawing on a small amount of research and a large amount of experience, I put these pages up on the site.
What the Great Recession means for competitive bidding
OCTOBER 6, 2009
We don't advocate the "open the yellow pages and choose 3 vendors" approach, but what issuers can do is put out a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) or a Request for Information (RFI). One prebid meeting I went to had over 150 people there. In the past I would have expected ten at a prebid and six to propose. Betty Brennan Taylor Studios, Inc. This economy, the so-called Great Recession, is a different and challenging situation for business prospectors who likely have never faced the retrenchment that is occurring in both private and public spending.
