After 10 years as an automation user and vendor, I’m both encouraged and depressed by the results. The most striking improvement the survey shows is that 69% of respondents said that MA had met or exceeded their expectations. When I founded Genius.com in 2004, our internal research showed that number at less than 10%. Clearly the space has made leaps and bounds improvements since then. Now 80% of MA users say they get positive ROI in less than 12 months (but still, 12?) | HUBSPOT MAY 16, 2011 3 Inbound Marketing Lessons I Wish I'd Known @ Mint.com This guest blog post was written by Noah Kagan, Chief Sumo of web deals site AppSumo.com , a daily deals site for web entrepreneurs. MARKETING INTERACTIONS | MONDAY, MAY 16, 2011 Marketing and Sales - Two islands, no bridge? Last week I was in Minneapolis speaking at Confab and attending AA-ISP. It's the first time I've gone directly from a conference focused exclusively on content strategy to an inside sales conference. Can I just say, Whoa! Commaraderie that spawned comments such as "I found my people!" " Inspiring conversations with people who actually "get" content. Overall, it was inspiring! MORE >> -

SAZBEAN | MONDAY, MAY 16, 2011 What Makes #ungeeked So Special You could say it’s the speaker lineup and that they lead discussions instead of giving presentations. You could say it was the variety and depth of topics — or that the price for a 3 day conference was very reasonable. You could even say it was the quality of attendees and the small room so you met them all. Ungeeked Elite in Chicago was all of these things and they certainly made it one of the best conferences I’ve ever attended. Friendly & Open. Just about everyone at UnGeeked was interesting in meeting everyone else. Helpful & Giving. Interesting & Valuable. MORE >> -
