Be a Big Fish in the Blogger Outreach Pond

Would you prefer to be the ugliest pretty person or the prettiest ugly person? Would you prefer to have the lowest IQ at MIT or the highest IQ at State? This is all according to your preference, but when it comes to a blogger outreach campaign, the decision is never so zero-sum, not nearly so either/or.

Publishing is dying because marketers are the new publishers

At the subway stations and on the street, I pass multiple people yelling, “AM New York” to passersby, as they attempt to hand out free newspapers to commuters. But very few people take them. Lately, the hawkers are adding more come-ons to the pitch (“Coupons for 20% off electronics”), but I don’t think it is markedly increasing the uptake among commuters.

In Digital Marketing, Yesterday and Tomorrow Mean Nothing

Image via CrunchBase. I read a post recently from Seth Godin. He is an interesting fellow in that many times he has great ideas if you can just get past his arrogance, but I digress. The post was referring to looking at the past and what you had done in the face of the crazy times that existed in whatever era you wanted to choose. To sum it up, there is never a perfect situation with economies, world peace and other things being taken care of or eliminated completely.
