Got your fundraising appeal for Wikipedia. Let me start by saying I’m a huge fan of Wikipedia; it is a truly amazing tool and a tremendous accomplishment. The Wikipedia cabal. I understand you don’t want Wikipedia to devolve into a collection of marketing brochures. Call off the dogs. The Priesthood.

She provides an excellent taxonomy of the social media landscape, categorizing the different types of social media tools into: • Social News Sites (Digg, Reddit, Kirtsy, etc.). For one, Evans cites the notoriously anti-business Wikipedia as “an example of why social media is useful to you as a marketer.&# The book is rich in case study examples from companies like Southwest Airlines and Harley Davidson.
