Marketo is certainly a fine product, but marketers should still look around before picking it by default. They focus on email nurturing campaigns and marketing measurement.

More than anything else, this exercise reinforced my understanding of how hard it is to answer a seemly simple question about a software product’s capabilities. Apparently some Marketo clients really wanted to do this, while others were firmly opposed. The only other vendor I explored this with in detail was Marketo.
