Oracle Buys ATG: Bad News for Marketing Automation?

Nor have I forgotten that Oracle already bought marketing automation vendor Market2Lead, plugging a different set of holes. If anything, they’re better served by having some marketing automation vendors remain independent, since this keeps prices down and encourages competitive innovation. Just ask Oedipus.

LoopFuse Offers Free Marketing Automation System: Another Step Towards Industry Consolidation

Personally, I’d argue that the really significant news out of LoopFuse is their newly tiered pricing structure. The entry point of $350 per month (for up to 10,000 prospects with unlimited emails and page views) is much lower than the $1,000 to $2,000 starting price of most full-function marketing automation systems.

Vendors showing significant growth ( highlighted in green ) are mostly new entrants with below-average prices: Pardot , OfficeAutoPilot and LoopFuse. ActiveConversion is not new but also has a low price point.
