Looking through my files and asking a few questions, here are vendors for whom I have reasonably reliable information: This gives an average of $171,000 per employee. Aprimo has stated they are 40% B2B, and the rest of those vendors are 100% B2B. This leaves all the other B2B marketing automation vendors.

Mautic Offers Free, Open Source Marketing Automation

The failure of freemium (though not open source) offerings from LoopFuse and Genius are strong evidence that being free is not enough. I suspect that’s true but still wonder whether those buyers will know how to use a system effectively once they get it. There are about twenty of these, including major vendors in each category.
