Since CDPs emerged as a category (around 2016, according to the CDP Institute) we became accustomed to looking across a landscape of independent vendors, most with slightly different offerings under the CDP umbrella. The following year, DXP Acquia absorbed AgilOne. Last year, cloud comms platform Twilo picked up Segment.
