Sales Prospecting Perspectives

Over the past few weeks, one sales training topic keeps coming up over and over again and if it’s coming up for me and my peers as a hot topic, I know it’s probably one that a lot of other inside sales leaders are talking about as well. After all, how can you definitively determine success (or failure) without concrete metrics to back up your claims? Activity Metrics. Response Metrics. Value Metrics.

When you attend a trade show or another live event on behalf of your business, it's important to be able to show the rest of your company that the investment in sending you was worth it. Because it can be challenging to determine the ROI of your presence at live events , leaving the event with a closed sale or two under your belt can really help to immediately demonstrate the worth of your presence. This is an important logistical detail that will make it much easier for you to sell your product or service. Trade shows and other events are very noisy. After all, the goal is to sell on site.

Why You Should Celebrate Every Win

Sazbean

When I read Rick’s post on the thrills new bloggers get to experience this morning, of course I laughed (I’m not really a margarita kind of guy). Rick’s post is great—I love it as an example of the way we can use humor to get a message across in a blog post. And that message is loud and clear: celebrate every win. Every advance you make as a blogger—whether you’re just beginning your blogging journey, or you’re a bit further along the path—is important. So I think it’s important to acknowledge each challenge we attain. Each time we try something new, we take a risk. News & Notes
