Jeff Ogden of Find New Customers recently tested internet speed using the popular tool, www,speedtest.net, which is the way he measured speed while hosting Marketing Made Simple TV.

Results

St. Petersburg, Florida (local cable company)

• Download speed: 5 Mbps
• Upload speed: 1 Mbps

Contrast this to the same test on Long Island, NY. where we used Verizon FIOS,

• Download speed: 82 Mbps
• Upload speed: 79 Mps

The difference is clear and I don’t care what any cable company tells you.

Verizon FIOS is the best internet service anywhere and I sure miss it a lot. I hope to someday switch back to match the great FIOS service we used to have.
