How to Seamlessly Transition to the New Litmus: Webinar Recording + Q&A

Categories

Last year, we released the new, redesigned Litmus, helping you build, test, review, and analyze every email in one seamless view. The new platform has the power to bring your email process to the next level, but we know that transitioning to a new workflow isn’t always easy.

In this webinar, we walked through the new Litmus and provided hands-on advice on how to transition your team. We covered how to save time and set your team up for success with the new platform, transfer your existing emails and projects, and ease your team’s transition to the new platform with practical tips and best practices.

Didn’t have a chance to watch the webinar live? Don’t worry. You can access the full recording and read the Q&A below.

Q&A

A big thank you to everyone who chimed in during the webinar with a question! Here’s a recap of our answers to the most popular questions along with some of the questions we didn’t get to during the live webinar. Have any additional questions? Please leave them in the comments.

Does access to the new Litmus cost extra?

Not at all! We’ve retained our existing pricing and packaging with this update, and it’s available to our existing customers at no additional cost.

When will the legacy platform be retired?

The legacy platform will be retired in April 2021. But don’t worry—we’ll be communicating with your team a lot over the coming weeks and months to make this transition as seamless as possible.

If I switch over to the new Litmus, does it impact other members on my team?

Switching over to the new Litmus won’t impact anyone else on your account—it’s a preference set at the individual user level. We recommend that your team switches over to the new Litmus together as emails created in the new Litmus will not be visible in the legacy Litmus platform.

Can I force all users on my account to make the transition at the same time?

If you’d like all of your teammates to be using the new platform, contact our support team or your account manager and we can help make that happen. We can change the default view on your account for all team members.

Is there a way to filter all emails by status?

Within each folder, you can sort by status, as well as name, due date, status, and created by. We don’t currently offer a filtering feature for the status across all folders.

Will the new Litmus provide the opportunity to view or export aggregated data for a group of emails?

Within new Litmus, we do offer an aggregate reporting feature and you can select which emails you’d like to report on. You can select any emails in your account to include, but they are not broken down by folder.

Is it possible to move items already stored within a folder to a different folder?

Absolutely! Whether you’d like to organize your campaigns by client, department, campaign type, or more, with customizable folders and subfolders you’ve got the flexibility you need to set up an organizational structure that works for your team—and you can make changes at any time. You can move an email to any folder, or select multiple emails and move them to another folder together.

In the legacy Litmus, we can create multiple versions of the email in one file and manage them in the sidebar. Can the new Litmus do that?

Yes! We’re adding the ability to easily hop between emails in the sidebar. We’ll be launching that very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

After the legacy platform is retired, will we still be able to pull legacy emails into new Litmus?

As the transition dates come closer, we’ll make sure to send you reminders to pull all of your legacy emails into the new Litmus. If the dates come and go and there are projects you haven’t moved yet, that’s okay. All of them will be in the “Legacy” folder in the new Litmus, and you can transfer everything from there.
