  • 57% of enterprise marketers use artificial intelligence (AI) in email campaigns, according to new research from Ascend2 and RPE Origin.
  • Gmail will sunset its simple HTML view in January 2024. After this date, Gmail will automatically change to its standard view.
  • Also—Gmail is now rejecting unauthenticated mail, so ensure to have Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) or Sender Policy Framework (SPF) set up.
  • While marketers are most interested in organic social media to reach their target audiences, research shows that consumers prefer to communicate with brands via email.
  • Amazon shoppers: with Prime Day around the corner, keep a keen eye on potential phishing emails from senders posing as Amazon.
  • Police are investigating the source of student email hack from a junior high school in Lindale, Texas.
  • A man in India was kept in jail for an extra three years because prison authorities failed to open a bail order sent as an email attachment.
  • Speaking of, one misplaced letter in an email address caused the Hong Kong High Court to refuse leave to enforce an arbitral award.
  • Email cyberattacks have gone way up at hospitals and health systems in 2023, reports Abnormal Security.
  • DarkBeam leaks billions of email and password combinations, exposing records with user emails and passwords from previously reported and non-reported data breaches.
  • Scammers can abuse security flaws in email forwarding to impersonate high-profile domains, according to researchers at the University of California San Diego.
  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida made a $1.2 million payment for what they believed was a legitimate bill in an email scam.
  • X (formerly Twitter) is developing an option to enable subscribers on X to share their email with a creator they follow, if they choose.
  • Newsletter startup beehiiv acquires ad platform Swapstack.
