Customer Funnel

The Customer Funnel describes the process a consumer takes from the first encounter with your product to the purchase of said product. This funnel has 3 segments of note:

  1. ToFu– The Top of the Funnel (ToFu) is the first step of the process, in which the consumer gains awareness of your product. This can be through blogs, social media posts, videos, etc.
  2. MoFu– The Middle of the Funnel (MoFu) is the next step, in which the consumer takes further action to consider your product. This may include educational resources, webinars, surveys, etc.
  3. BoFu– The Bottom of the Funnel (BoFu) is the final step, in which the consumer makes a decision on purchasing the product. To help with this decision they may start a trial with your product, consult with employees, read customer stories, etc.
An ETL Pipeline refers to the process in computing where data is extracted (E), transformed (T), and loaded (L) into an output data container.
A Data Mesh is a decentralized data architecture that groups data by a certain business domain (i.e., marketing, sales, customer service, etc.).
A Data Warehouse is a type of data management system that centralizes and consolidates large amounts of data from many different sources.
