PII (Personally Identifiable Information)

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is information that when combined with other data or just used alone, can be used to identify an individual.

PII can contain quasi-identifiers (e.g., age) that when combined with other quasi-identifiers (e.g., race) can be used to successfully identify an individual. There are also direct identifiers within PII, (e.g., social security number) that can be used alone to identify a unique individual.

Be careful at all times when handling PII, as you are handling sensitive information about other people.

An ETL Pipeline refers to the process in computing where data is extracted (E), transformed (T), and loaded (L) into an output data container.
