Which Department Owns Influencer Marketing?

Onalytica B2B

Influencer marketing will play a significant role in brands’ 2017 marketing and communication strategies, with 84% of marketers saying they will launch at least one influencer campaign within the next 12 months. Influencer marketing or influencer relations are not yet mainstream roles in their own right, as they are still maturing disciplines, so there is inevitably a land grab within organizations as to who is leading or owning influencer outreach.

I will say that I’ve now seen enough orchestration systems to start making subtle distinctions among them. Subtle distinctions are needed because the systems are basically similar.

Email 101: Tell Me Something I Don’t Already Know

The Point

To be successful in driving engagement from business buyers, it’s not enough that marketing content simply be relevant to the individual reader. To be information of value, that same content needs to be useful, and at a very fundamental level it needs to tell the reader something he or she doesn’t already know. Sounds obvious, right? And yet if I were to choose the one thing that dooms more B2B email creative to mediocrity and worse, it would be just that: telling people stuff they already know.

A CDP is a JOE if has journey orchestration. A JOE is a CDP if its data is accessible to other systems. Think Venn diagram with two intersecting circles.” It's not clear the answer helped, but it did get me thinking about clarifying with a Venn diagram.

For example, a recent study by CoSchedule found that the “optimal” number of daily posts on Twitter (your mileage may vary) is 15, but just one to two posts per day on Instagram and Facebook
