What’s new in Litmus: webinar recording + Q&A

Categories

As one of the most effective marketing channels, email has been asked to pick up a lot of slack over the past year. Creating that many emails, while staying on-brand and error-free, can be a challenge.

In this webinar, Kelsey Doyle, a Customer Success Manager at Litmus, and Scott Epple, a Principal Product Manager at Litmus, share how the latest updates help your team quickly build brand-compliant emails—regardless of technical coding abilities.

Didn’t make the live webinar? That’s OK. We recorded the whole thing. Watch the recording here:

Q&A

We answered a lot of questions during the webinar but weren’t able to get to them all. Check them out here, and let us know if there’s anything else you’re wondering about in the comments below.

Does drag-and-drop add additional code to my email that I should be aware of?

This is a great question because it’s what we’ve come to expect with WYSIWYG editors—that they’ll alter or add code to the underlying HTML. That’s not the case with Litmus. We’ve taken a lot of care in designing these capabilities to avoid adding or altering your code.

If you switch between the Visual and Code Editors, you can see exactly what’s happening to your code as you build.

Does the drag-and-drop Visual Editor create responsive emails?

The short answer is “yes,” but it actually comes down to the design of your templates. If you’ve built responsive templates and modules, they’ll be responsive when you build your email.

We share some tips in our guide to responsive email design if you need some help getting started. Or you can download our free email templates that are responsive and optimized for all the popular email clients—including Dark Mode. If you’re a Litmus customer, then you already have one of our free responsive templates with modules in your Design Library.

Which ESPs does Litmus sync with? Does it sync with Salesforce Marketing Cloud?

Yes, Litmus does sync with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We also sync with Oracle Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, Acoustic Campaign, Mailchimp, and Campaign Monitor.

You can learn more about our ESP integrations and what they offer in this blog post.

How do you link a HubSpot account to Litmus Builder?

This is actually really easy! This article walks you through how to connect HubSpot to Litmus in five simple steps.

Do Litmus Chrome Extension previews count as additional previews on top of the regular previews in Litmus?

Yes, they do count. Previews you run in Litmus Extension will count toward your total. The Extension honors the email client configuration you have set up in your account. If you haven’t already, you can customize your email clients in your Settings.

For the new Previews sorting feature, I noticed one of the filtering options is “Popularity – Your Audience.” Does this refer to the Litmus Email Analytics tracking pixel data we’ve been collecting on some email campaigns? How accurate is it and for how long?

“Popularity – Your Audience” looks at your overall most popular clients using Litmus Email Analytics. The audience portion looks at your Email Analytics data for the last 180 days—across all of your analytics codes. It’s constantly pulling data, so it should always be showing the latest stats. If you don’t use Email Analytics, “Popularity – Overall” pulls from our aggregated email client market share report.

In the Design Library, when I create a template, is there a share option so people in my org can see all the templates?

Anyone in your organization who has a Litmus account and is an Account Holder, Admin, Full User, Content Editor, or Code Editor can view and use your email templates in Builder.

You can also share individual templates like you would share HTML and Previews from Builder. Check out the video below to see how:
