I spent most of this week at Salesforce.com ’s Dreamforce conference. I do recall that some (traditional, structured) research has shown that human brains physically adjust when they must process unstructured inputs. With 45,000 registrants, the company says that Dreamforce is now the largest technology industry gathering.

Fresh on the heels of yesterday''s blockbuster ExactTarget / Salesforce.com deal , SAP today announced acquisition of e-commerce vendor hybris software. During their call, the SAP and hybris managers unfairly implied that ExactTarget does nothing but email (without mentioning Salesforce.com or ExactTarget by name).

By comparison, Eloqua lost just 7% of revenue in the year before its IPO, and even Salesforce.com, the benchmark for all Software as a Service (Saas) start-ups, lost just 20% of revenue in its final year as a private company. A loss that big is pretty scary. SaaS economics aren’t supposed to work that way.

I’ve now done more detailed research into the SetLogik B2B data management system I mentioned in my Dreamforce post. I originally saw SetLogik as a tool to associate marketing leads with sales opportunities, even when they are not connected directly within Salesforce.com. If anything, I’m even more impressed.

But Lead Genius was founded in 2011 to commercialize university research into combining AI with human inputs. Response data can also be posted to Salesforce.com or Marketos, with additional integrations planned for the near future. All response classifications are added to the database where they can be used in future selections.

Each member gets a Hushly library to store their downloaded documents and communications. Members can grant other people access to their library for collaboration.

True Influence InsightBASE Simplifies Use of B2B Intent Data

That's possible but I haven’t done the research to confirm it. InsightBASE has standard integrations with Marketo , Oracle Eloqua , and Salesforce.com. True Influence also says its partner network gives it access to more intent data than anyone else. They can export the domains, contacts associated with the domains, or both.
