Before we get into the “what and how” of KPI Dashboard Design, there are some overarching guiding principles to consider for identifying what metrics you need, how you want to view them, and more importantly, how to develop and support them: Start with what you know. Think hierarchy. | INSIGHTIQ BLOG JANUARY 11, 2012 QR Codes: Why Marketers Shouldn't Slow Down Product manufacturers can place a small code on any item, which can then be scanned by compatible cell phones and mobile devices to create any number of extended customer experiences. Some allow consumers to get more information on the product itself by linking to demo videos, how-to-guides, and project ideas. It's different for every product/brand. troops, while J.C. | | | | | | | INSIGHTIQ BLOG NOVEMBER 2, 2012 Neolane Typology Rules and Custom Approvals With limited marketing budgets, marketers are often left to wonder what’s the best bang for their marketing dollar when it comes to the myriad of offers and products they have to market. Communicating and staying in touch with your customers, and doing it well, is a top priority. Why not make your life a little easier with Neolane? While you wait, you are losing money. | INSIGHTIQ BLOG JUNE 24, 2011 2 Critical B2B Marketing Insights from the MarketingProfs B2B Forum But what we really need to think about is how our products/services/solutions solve problems. Last week, I had the benefit if attending the MarketingProfs B2B Forum here in Boston. In addition to the great networking that took place, the 2 day event was jam-packed with great insights from B2B thought leaders on topics such as lead generation, sales and marketing alignment and social media. | INSIGHTIQ BLOG SEPTEMBER 15, 2011 3 Steps to Building a Strong Mobile Commerce Foundation Forrester reports that 45% of mobile users would use their smartphone to purchase products if they knew their number would be kept private, and 44% claimed they would if mobile payment services were more secure. Although mobile commerce is expected to reach some $31 billion by 2016, at a compounded annual growth rate of 39% 1 , the channel remains a huge missed opportunity for most brands. | INSIGHTIQ BLOG AUGUST 22, 2011 3 Ways to Stave Off Digital Copycats One of the great beauties of digital innovation is how quickly and economically an idea can go into production. For example, ESPN presented a real paradigm shift to its digital advertisers when it began offering a premium advertising product allowing them to target ESPN.com visitors based on various consumer attributes, including interests, demographics, and affluence. | | | | | | | | | -
INSIGHTIQ BLOG | THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2011 Role of analysis in customer engagement Customer interaction analysis demands information about customer behavior, such as how they react to a certain product continuously, how they respond to a marketing campaign program in mail, email and phone, and so on. Think of this analogy: vegetables don’t always taste great unless they are cooked. Furthermore, these vegetables won’t be loved unless they are cooked to reveal the right color and consistency thus making them appetizing. Likewise, for the best response to your marketing programs, interactions should be “cooked” according to your customers’ particular preference. MORE >> -
INSIGHTIQ BLOG | THURSDAY, MAY 19, 2011 When Technology Fails: The Disconnected Customer Experience From the ability to browse, locate user reviews, compare pricing and quickly purchase products or services, these companies have the online experience down to a science. We all know that there are several big name ecommerce vendors who have a stellar reputation for delivering on their promise of a great online customer experience. They have figured out how to provide offers to me based upon my preferences, get me to enroll in customer loyalty programs and educate me on their offerings. BUT, what happens when the technology fails? My advice to these organizations? Cheers, Renay MORE >> -
INSIGHTIQ BLOG | MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2012 Big D, little d, What Begins with D? Try Direct and direct. Your Direct customers provide the perfect platform for testing, measuring and refining offers, products, and interactions across channels. We all know (but perhaps don't want to acknowledge) that brands shouldn't try to build relationships with their entire customer base; there is no need to focus on the person who buys once every ten months. Instead, spend your time, effort and resources on your top 10, 20 or 30% (depending on your business), increasing your understanding of your most valuable (current and potential) customers. To do that, you must think "direct". Be social. MORE >> -
INSIGHTIQ BLOG | THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2011 Embracing Digital Customer Interaction You will have to think more holistically about the kinds of measures that best help you to understand the depth of engagement with your customers and how well you are investing to deliver your messages and products to them. With so much discussion about the importance of an effective online interaction strategy, it's surprising how many companies have yet to fully embrace the power of digital strategies and tactics. Many are "digital capable", meaning that they have the ability to plan and execute isolated digital tactics. These changes must be made in a thoughtful and logical way. MORE >> -
INSIGHTIQ BLOG | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6, 2012 Contact Strategies at Work And you must try the new product; it’s on sale! Have you ever given much thought to the glossy catalogs that routinely show up in your mailbox, offering you great deals on the exact things you need? Or maybe how your favorite online stores know to send you offers for summer dresses rather than men’s dress shirts? When you’re getting what you want, wondering about how it got there is an afterthought. But, you might be surprised to know that your shopping experience—both online and off—is the result of contact strategies at their best. It all begins with the customer. MORE >>
