Majority opinion seems to be that Twitter isn’t really a social platform it’s a broadcast medium. Many say that marketers are a different breed than “customers,” and what works for marketers won’t translate to the B2B world in general. For these reasons, pundits say that Twitter isn’t much use for reaching B2B customers.

For example, Twitter updates that come with a link to something deeper to read (such as news, opinion, tips, research, and thought leadership) are more likely to be passed on, or retweeted, to others. That means we need a new standard for ourselves.
