All the articles I read talk about how B to B businesses are using social media, but when it comes to actually citing examples, they always fall back on B to C. If you work in the B to C world then yes social media is where it’s at. To me social media means sharing “meaningful” content. The results are hilarious and well worth sharing over social media. These types of mini events are not only good for social media, but good for company morale, your internal brand and more. | B2B MARKETING UNPLUGGED JULY 23, 2012 Why It Doesn’t Matter that CEOs Aren’t Using Social Media Here is what Technorati thinks it means: Executives Don’t Give a Damn About Social Media . Want to Get a Social Disease? | B2B MARKETING UNPLUGGED JULY 1, 2010 Why Most Executives Should Stay Clear of Social Media The other day I had the opportunity to listen to a presentation by a social media guru on the cheese-moving, game-changing, power-shifting, balance-restoring, granny-empowering, field-levelling opportunities of our age. The Blognocrats (my term) have been picking on our CEOs a lot lately on the whole social media thing, and it’s quite true, many of them don’t get it. Happily, for marketers stuck in the middle, there are now bootcamps where you can send your C-suite to get up to speed on the social media thing.
