Lately, most vendors have added features to monitor anonymous traffic your site (the most recent announcements: Pardot , Marketo , Eloqua ). The Marketing Automation industry is evolving continuously. Many digital marketers are using marketing automation tools to automate lead nurturing. But if you want to expand your business, you also need to continuously add new leads to your database. Traditional lead sources are tradeshows or lead programs with magazines. Those are definitely useful, but the number of leads is low and the cost per lead is high. But it can quickly get expensive.

To accelerate this learning process I’ve decided to join the Marketo consulting team, in which I can focus 100% on Marketing Automation and Lead Management. Marketo gives me access to more projects, and also the interesting projects that I wouldn’t be able to get as an independent consultant. Both of those are independent from Marketo, and done in my own time. Most readers of this blog will know that I’m passionate about Marketing Automation and Lead Management. As LeadSloth I did a lot of blogging, but my consulting practice paid the bills.

At this week’s Marketo Summit , I realized we’re right in the middle of B2B Marketing Event Season. In this post I’m giving a short impression of the Marketo Summit. In May I attended Silverpop’s user conference, and the Marketo and Eloqua user conferences are coming up in October. The past two days I attended the Pardot User Conference , and also presented a session on Lead Nurturing. Over 100 Pardot customers from all over North America attended this event. And that’s impressive. Learnings From The Conference. The conference had a nice balance of sessions.
