Naturally, the conference also included public and private discussions of HubSpot itself, but I thought those were best shared in a separate post. The conference yielded a clear picture of HubSpot’s business strategy for the coming year. HubSpot originally focused on “top of funnel” or “inbound” marketing, which boils down to helping marketers to attract Web traffic. HubSpot has always aimed to provide small businesses with one easy-to-use system for all their marketing needs. Since my July 2009 review , HubSpot has further extended the system to include social media monitoring and sharing, limited list segmentation and simple drip marketing campaigns. It is now working on more robust outbound email, support for mobile Web pages, and APIs foroutside developers to create add-on applications. BLOG MY CALLS | TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2012 Hubspot Research: Content Marketing (Blogging) Generates Leads Hubspot relased some extremely interesting research about blogging and lead gen earlier this week. And because we love Hubspot's content marketing strategy and have great respect for them as a company, we listen to them when they publish research like this. Hubspot found that companies that blog 15 times or more each month have TWICE the traffic of companies that blog only once or twice a month. Hubspot says that companies that blog 15 or more times each month receive 6x more leads than companies only blogging 2 times each month. That's substantial and dramatic. MORE >> -
