I've been reading a few articles lately about how some user-generated content ad campaigns such as the one that Dove ran called Dove Cream Oil Body Wash Ad Contest "failed" as it wasn't well received by the YouTube community. It means that YouTube is much more then just a community in itself as Shmuel perceived it.

Why not consider doing a video that could be used as a TV ad, website video, posted on YouTube , added to your business blog, linked to from emails and advertised in magazines and print material. This obviously isn't something new but I did stumble on this from YouTube which is definitely a new way to access marketing messages.

These can be corny but if you're a growing company and you want to attract the top people, use video to help paint the picture of who you really are. We have video phones and YouTube!! If a three year old can play Guitar Hero and have it posted to YouTube, your marketing team can handle this. How have you used video?
