JANUARY 15, 2013 [Hashtag, Twitter] When I cross-post I do it mostly by hand (you should too)
And you’ll need to post anything you have by hand to G+ because, as of now, Google doesn’t allow cross-posting services to post to Google+ so you’re limited to auto cross-posting to Facebook, Twitter , Linkedin. The same thing is not true on Twitter — it’s very rare for anyone to notice that one blog post or content piece is tweeted more than once.

MAY 15, 2012 [Hashtag, Twitter] Why you too should be social media slutty
And, after years and years, I have finally admitted to being a TV addict in addition to every other form of media, including books and movies, so I have joined GetGlue , Goodreads, TV Guide, yap.TV, and BuddyTV as a way of keeping track of shows and movies as well as being able to check in and comment and engage and track hashtags and mentions, and so forth. NOVEMBER 1, 2011 [Hashtag, Twitter] Google Plus was born prematurely and you should take advantage
There is unnecessary unrest that has been buffeting the launch of Google’s newest online social network, Google Plus, and the reason for that is simple: Google was forced to launch G+ because Twitter blocked Google’s real-time and direct access to Twitter updates. This Until Google Plus, there was only one true source for real-time news and real-time trends: Twitter.

SEPTEMBER 24, 2013 [Hashtag, Twitter] Reputation management is not pig lipstick
'If you want to fix your online reputation, you’ll need to write checks to both Reputation.com as well as get your own house in order. Reputation.com can easily take back all the land you’ve ceded to negative reviews, rigorous and vigorous besmirchment , and terrible happenstance (life happens and a lot of it really sucks); however, this is all assuming you’ve been done wrong.

BIZNOLOGY | THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2013 [Hashtag, Twitter] Digital Marketing on a Vine–Twitter’s New Video Venue
Twitter’s new Vine has some social media and marketing experts tumbling with excitement. Welcome to Twitter’s visual challenge. Twitter acted quickly, blocking the #porn hashtag and raising the minimum age to 17. Unlike Twitter, Vine videos aren’t accessible from its website, though several websites that aggregate them have already appeared. Vine does offer the capability to share videos to Facebook and Twitter and to embed them on a blog or website. Image via CrunchBase. But is it, really? How long does it take you to tell your brand’s story? In video? MORE >>

and while it can, indeed, build your reputation and probably gets you lots of retweets, likes, and attention (especially if you’re witty, funny, clever, or share witty, funny, and clever content from elsewhere), you probably won’t get anyone to “click through” to your content on your site or blog (because the only link to your site, your content, or your services are on your Twitter bio, your Facebook about page, or the professional information on your LinkedIn profile ). Foragers rarely hijack hashtags or trend-surf — those things are just not done. MORE >>
BIZNOLOGY | TUESDAY, MARCH 6, 2012 [Hashtag, Twitter] Get Over Social Media Writer’s Block
There are six reasons why you’ll have chronic writer’s block when it comes to producing content to feed your social media dragons: blog, Twitter and Facebook. The best advice I can give you is to write down, as quick as you can, all of the ideas clogging your head into a list, count them, and then be glad that you have X number of blog, Twitter, and Facebook posts queued up well in advance. Or, find someone else in your office who gets all wiggly whenever anyone mentions Twitter, hashtag, share, tweet, or blog and delegate, punt, or turf the task to her. MORE >>

BIZNOLOGY | TUESDAY, JUNE 25, 2013 [Hashtag, Twitter] Are you a social media marketing trapper?
Social media trappers have figured out how to use hashtags as well as how to generate compelling content with the express purpose of sharing, content that is somewhere else, content that doesn’t live on a social network but, rather, lives on a branded web site, corporate site, blog, or microsite. They do things such as mis-tagging their social content via mis-categorization or by using hashtags or keywords that are much more popular and timely than they are accurate. The vertical’s catnip, if you will. What do you have planned for when the trap is sprung? snare? MORE >>
