Marketing automation vendor Eloqua released a SlideShare entitled 10 ways to “solve” Facebook for B2B. The presentation mostly hypes Eloqua’s Facebook campaign, but a couple of things stood out for me. One was that a sweepstakes drove 43% of the traffic to Eloqua’s Facebook page, far more than other sources.

We know from our research that we in marketing don’t do much with analytics—i.e., Steve Woods of marketing automation vendor Eloqua has an excellent list of questions to ask about lead scoring here, but I wonder if they rely too much on making people fill out forms. using data to determine and predict customer buying patterns.
