Turning off in an always-on world

I have just one more week in the office before I take 3 weeks holiday during the month of August. And I’ve really been wrestling with how much social media activity I should engage in during my holidays, or if I should do any at all. In the past, I’ve completely opted out of being ‘always on’ during my holidays. At first it was merely about setting what were for me appropriate work/life parameters; continually checking email while of holiday is not my idea of getting away from it all.
