Digg Digg lets you choose which buttons you want to display, and whether you want a floating sidebar (all the rage lately) or a top bar. Digg Digg was acquired by Buffer a couple years ago, and includes all popular sharing buttons and their share count for each post. Digg Digg with a floating left implementation.

It’s always been my practice never to write anything overtly negative on my blog, on the simply philosophy that it never pays to make enemies. For those of you who aren’t aware of the Myers Briggs test it asks you a bunch of questions from multiple angles to rate you on 4 basic scales: your Favorite World (Introvert/Extrovert), Information (Sensing/Institution), Decisions (Thinking/Feeling) and Structure (Judging or Perceiving). I found it interesting that my score came in as ENTJ.

Set up webcam, test for lighting. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough, and it was done start to finish in 30 minutes. Using video blogging , you can easily get found by clients who have problems you can fix. Used some content marketing text previously published about how to write a video script. Skim your draft for opening danglers ; test all subjects and verbs for agreement; trace every pronoun to its antecedent; look for unbalanced pairs and series. [For me, this means eliminating excess words, making sure that verb and subject are in agreement, and checking your and you're, there and their, its and it's, etc.].

I know this from testing email subject lines. I share once on Linkedin, StumbleUpon, Digg and sometimes Facebook. While I do find writing to be therapeutic, I write to share information, add some value, and present my point of view with my audience. Titles are more important than you think. Using keywords helps. No problem, I thought; knock out a keyword list, crank out a few ads, test a couple of different landing pages, keep an eye on things to weed out the bum search phrases and keep bids in line, piece of cake. Same product as before, only they’d made a few tweaks to optimize it for business use. I could do it in my sleep.

For aggressive campaigns, content sites should definitely be included; for more limited or test campaigns, search alone may be the better setting. Test alternative ad copy. After 2-3 weeks, check performance; if one ad is clearly generating higher CTR than the other, delete the lower-performing ad and replace it with a new one to test.

The ubiquitous Jon Rognerud lists 11 common mistakes made by small companies and those new to AdWords, such as duplicating search ads on Google’s content network (the ads need to be different due to the different context in which they are seen), using too many keywords, sending visitors to your home page, and not properly testing ads.
