In order to activate every single potentially viable blog and blogger, it is essential to create efficiencies of engagement, especially when your goal is to pitch further down the long tail of influentials than is practically possible by hand.

My definition of blogger outreach has always been about acquiring earned media coverage from bloggers and online influencers. My My definition–and my assumption–has always been that blogger outreach is public relations and not paid media. I may well be mistaken. ” (Wikipedia). That’s all well and good but it is not blogger outreach. Right?

Yes, earned media outreach and engagement also has an agenda. Earned media is hard. It must be just short of impossible. Let me explain.

That of course is a legitimate source of power on the web today in this Era of the Citizen Influencer where everyone can publish and have a voice. Today, Klout scores are impacted only by activity on Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, LinkedIn, Google+, Klout, and Wikipedia.
