I know for my own team we are building things we never did before like: iPhone aps, iPad aps, Android aps, as well as implementing various SaaS applications like Salesforce.com and WebTrends, and marketing automation applications like Aprimo but what is odd is that we have never had to talk with the CIO.

When you think of lead nurturing platforms you typically think of firms like Eloqua, Marketo, Aprimo, LeadLife, Market2Lead, Silverpop, even Salesforce.com is getting into the lead nurturing space. Element #3 – Events – throwing events in Facebook is easy, but taking that data and adding that to a profile isn’t. But Facebook?

Facebook ads today remind me of Google AdWords in 2001 with low CPC’s on topics and segments many marketers will want to reach. I believe Facebook Ads will become the close “cousin” of Google AdWords – just with a more targeted and behavioral way to dial in your ads.

We are now developing an open source "business application platform" (think salesforce.com). Worth adding to my Google Services series. :-). Remember the EULA says they can gather personal information for targeting ads, and I suppose later they could fill too much of the screen with ads for example.
