Borrowing from Gartner’s concept of bi-modal IT — stable foundational systems and fast-moving, agile capabilities on top of them — Cleve strongly recommended decoupling content production and experimentation (fast moving) from the underlying CXM platform (slow moving), and using APIs, standards, and guidelines to enforce the separation.
