For B2B marketing automation, we’re not there yet. But they're directionally correct. I do have employee counts, at least for the top eight companies.

As I mentioned yesterday, our new B2B Marketing Automation Vendor Selection Tool (VEST) asks vendors to estimate the number of clients in each of four size categories. So I’d estimate total industry revenue at $300 million for 2011. This represents a 50% growth over my estimate for 2010. But not all of these are B2B marketers.

Constant Contact Adds Social CRM: Should Marketing Automation Vendors Be Worried?

The company expects more than $200 million in revenue in 2011, which about equals my estimate for 2010 revenues for all B2B marketing automation. As a point of reference, Constant Contact says it is used by more than 400,000 organizations, compared with maybe 10,000 for all marketing automation systems combined.
