SearchCIO has just released results of their survey of 275 IT executives, and as anyone would suspect, companies both large and small are reducing their IT budgets for 2009. In large enterprises (companies with more than 1,000 employees), 42% of respondents are reducing IT budgets from 2008. In mid-size organizations, a third indicated budget cuts, with another third just holding the line. And as other surveys have predicted, the budget cuts will become more widespread and deeper the longer the economic uncertaintly continues.
