A few Saturday facts about Jeff Ogden of Find New Customers

Here are some things you might not know about Jeff Ogden of Find New Customers.

Born and raised in Madison, Indiana - which is the only town in America that owns a race-boat called the Oh Boy Oberto, which has won many races.

Oh Boy Oberto

In this small town, I worked for my great uncle in the seed and feed store. He was a 1925 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, when Knute Rockne was head coach. (He has passed)

He took me to a game at the University of Notre Dame and I loved the school.

I also played receiver for the Madison High School Cubs but we were not very good and lost most of our games.

I was graduated and I had good grades and a good SAT score, so I applied to Notre Dame and I was accepted.  Wow!

My mom said we could not afford it, but I was a determined kid

My parents dropped me off at school and i was in the dorm my first night and I went to the elevator. A man in a bathrobe was in the elevator and my jaw dropped. His calves were HUGE!  (It was Bob Golic, who played nose tackle for the Browns for years.)

After graduation, I went to work for the Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria, Illinois. But they had some bad times (Ronald Reagan’s first year) and my class was released.

Still getting paid and I had a brother in Park Slope, Brooklyn and I stayed with him.  We had a great time coaching basketball kids and more.

I got a job in Manhattan with Unisys and then later on Long Island.  Ironically, my boss Robert Greifeld has been the Chairman and CEO of NASDAQ/OMX for years and he is a good friend of  mine.

One day a pretty young woman came into the office and she heard the name of the former worker there.  I called her, we met and we were engaged after nine months.  I loved Kathy with all my heart and I still do.

Kathy gave me three wonderful sons, whom I love dearly and we had so many great years. But the world changed dramatically and I changed with it. (I am @fearlesscomp on Twitter)  We drifted apart and got divorced.

I did work at Best Buy in Westbury, NY, but then I had a major fall and nearly died.  Kathy and her mom stayed with me in the hospital, which means a lot to me.

After the divorce, I moved down to sunny Florida where my Mom lives and I started over.

Find New Customers was started by me in February, 2009 and it is still in business today, which is quite an accomplishment.

  1. May I just say what a comfort to uncover somebody that really understands what they are discussing on the net.

You certainly understand how to bring an issue to light and make
it important. More people need to check this out and understand this side
of your story. I was surprised that you aren’t more popular since you most certainly possess the gift.
