So sometime in 2008, when the recession hit, we decided to expand our services. I had up to 30 employees, more than 30 employees I would say around 2008, which was our best year. And that may trigger some SEO, Google’s SEO algorithm to give you better rankings. And after the recession kind of things slow down.

Virality, Quick and Easy Once the stories are approved and posted on the blog, RESMARK automatically triggers another email, notifying the author and asking them to share the story on Facebook, Twitter, and elsewhere. Variable printing – even triggered voice mails – would be a great addition. Great post, as usual.

Same with the message board trolls, who are all too easy to overlook in favor of bloggers and Twitterers. I would then create a group in my database solely populated by those influencers, and I would create a whole series of outreach and engagement campaigns to trigger positive brand chatter among them. What would you do?

If you want to become a regular blogger, you’ve got to develop the habit of blogging. Not an easy task, I’ll admit, but thousands of bloggers have done it, and so can you. There should be a trigger for the habit … stress can trigger smoking, for example. It takes at least a month to ingrain a habit.

In addition to the power of self-expression and the organization of your thinking it mandates, blogging for business has one primary outcome: it triggers desirable behaviors among readers. Very few bloggers (especially in the business category) are blogging strictly for eyeballs, as advertising revenue is typically a minor benefit, at best.
