Personally, I believe the answer lies in the nature of circumstances. Their longevity far outlasts the short-term memory of Twitter or any other micro network. No matter which network you call home, blogs are the pillars of the democratized web. If drinking from the glass, it is then half empty. If pouring, it is half full.
