We recently watched the Madison movie featuring Jim Caziezel as a retired driver, Bruce Dern and Mary Macintosh about a hydroplane Gold Cup race in Madison in 1971.  I was a very young boy of about 12 years old but I was at that race.  Highly recommended movie. The local community hydroplane was Miss Madison then. (Oh Boy Oberto (see image) now with a sponsor and they use turbine engines now.).

Over two years ago, I was working for Best Buy in the computer department.  Someone wanted to buy a monitor, and we had none on the floor.  So go to the warehouse in the back, bring in 6 or so to restock the floor and sell one. fainted and fell 10 to 12 feet to a concrete floor.  My spine was cracked in two places and I was very badly injured.  That is the image. One time long ago, I was working for a warehouse management company called Optum Software.  It was a startup with about 35 employees.  I was a salesperson. The company was sold and I gave them my resignation.   They said ” We REALLY need that big deal with the company in Tampa.  The Home Shopping Network.” ” I replied “I will sell it if you put it in writing.  They did. flew to Roanoke, VA and Reno, NV to tour their warehouses with the warehouses managers.  I learned their issues and challenges.  Met the company and hammered out a deal.  ”  She said no.

Why I don’t smoke

My natural father, DeVon Ogden, worked in a factory and smoked.  He died of lung cancer at age 52 – a relatively young man. study I saw tested lab rats with marijuana and one I saw used nicotine.  It starved the rats, then offered them the choice of smoking or food.  If memory serves, they all chose nicotine.  In a study, rats were too lazy to stop the drug. Because of the highly addictive nature, I do not smoke and no one in my family smokes. Do you smoke?  Are you trying to quit?  Let me know what you think? Study: How Much of Your Content Marketing Is Effective?

745 marketers told us how effective their content marketing is. Between November 5 and November 17, we surveyed 601 marketers with an 18-question online survey. A few weeks later, Adweek sent the questionnaire to 144 additional marketers. As the survey was answered by nearly our entire population target, the calculated margin of error was approximately 1 percent. Here's what we learned.

None of his kids smoke, although tobacco was the big cash crop in Indiana back then.
